The Singapore Fringe Festival 2014 will be the 10th anniversay of the festival.
This year's three fringe highlights include:
Henrik Ibsen's "An Enemy of the People". Local theatre collective Nine Years Theatre gives this popular classic an all-Mandarin makeover under the direction of Nelson Chia.
From Portugal comes innovative theatre company Mundo Perfeito with their production of "Three Fingers Below the Knee", a play created with texts censored during Portugal's 40 years of dictatorship.
Finally,"Majulah Singapore - Tree Project" is an ambitious and meaningful work conceived by Hiroshi Sunairi. Seeds of Hibaku trees [trees which survived the atomic bombing in Hiroshima] are distributed to everyday Singaporeans who are invited to grow them. The work will also include an exhibition and a film screening which will feature interviews with participants around the world who have been involved with the project.
