Smoke & Mirrors: Balazs Molnar Guest Shift

Renowned bartender Balazs Molnar of Budapest-based cocktail bar Pink Pony Club joins the team at Smoke & Mirrors on August 22. From 7pm to 11pm catch the Hungarian bartender in action as he showcases his expert approach to cocktails and service — all of which have earned his acclaim across continents.

Balazs first foray into the cocktail industry began in Hungary before moving to join the esteemed team at Artesian the luxury bar nestled in The Langham London. Together with the then-head bartender Alex Kratèna and Simone Caporale — both industry luminaries in their own right — the team went on to establish Artesian as the cocktail haven it is today earning accolades such as emerging as Number 1 in the World’s 50 Best Bar Awards in 2015. Since then Balazs has helmed positions in Hong Kong’s Lobster Bar and Sydney’s Maybe Sammy that clinched spot #43 in the World’s 50 Best Bar Awards upon its first year of opening.
