Mitsubishi Electric Asia’s “Car Boot for Good” Drive

Discover a treasure trove of clothing, books, homeware and more. Support our adopted charity Apex Day Rehabilitation Centre for Elderly (ADRC) and participating social enterprises from 10am to 4pm on 9 September 2023 at the Mitsubishi Electric Building.

Mitsubishi Electric Asia will also be making a $10,000 donation to adopted charity Apex Day Rehabilitation Centre for Elderly (ADRC) during the event.

Mitsubishi Electric Asia will be hosting its Car Boot for Good preloved to reloved drive at the Mitsubishi Electric Building, from 10am to 4pm on 9 September 2023. With 20 car boots and 20 booths to shop from, sustainability-conscious shoppers can thrift from a plethora of unused and preloved finds, ranging from clothes, accessories, homeware, books and more.

Visitors to Car Boot for Good can also make a positive impact with their dollars by supporting Mitsubishi Electric Asia’s adopted charity since 2006, Apex Day Rehabilitation Centre for Elderly (ADRC), and the five participating social enterprises that will be present. ADRC, which provides daycare and rehabilitation to the elderly to enable them to stay independent and integrated as contributory members of our society, will be selling pottery and paintings drawn by the elderly.

Homegrown gourmet tea company Tea Ideas provides employment opportunities for the elderly above 60 years old, and renal patients; they will be selling its range of gourmet tea products. Shoppers can also purchase resin coasters and trinkets made with real flowers by the special needs artisans at JOJOMAMA, as well as intricate works of art made by Deaf ArtsCraftsy’s community of deaf artists. Bakery Hearts and WunderBake will be preparing a delectable spread of baked goods to fuel visitors for the day.

We are always looking for new ways to contribute and empower our beneficiaries. Through Car Boot for Good, we have created a platform to showcase the talents and innovation of ADRC and our participating social enterprises. We hope to motivate and inspire members of the public to join us as we journey towards Mitsubishi Electric Group’s Purpose of realising a vibrant and sustainable society”.

Admission to Car Boot for Good is free and the first 500 shoppers to make a purchase at the event will receive a free Old Chang Kee snack pack. There will also be 20 Mitsubishi Electric fans and many other prizes to be won.
