In Quiet Pursuit of the Self(less)

Mulan Gallery is proud to present Soh Ee Shaun's latest exhibition, In Quiet Pursuit of the Self(less). This exhibition showcases a culmination of Ee Shaun's MFA studies at Falmouth University and investigates the concept of selflessness through a contemplative and meditative exploration of movement, colour, energy and space.

Ee Shaun's paintings on paper offer a quiet and contemplative space, an invitation to reflect on the nature of the self, and to embrace stillness and quietness in our own pursuit of peace and solitude. The paintings are reminiscent of colour-field and modernist abstraction, with a unique blend of Eastern and Western aesthetics, and traditional Chinese painting techniques that evoke calm and serenity, movement and dynamism.

We invite you to experience the power of dharmic art as Ee Shaun's paintings draw aside the veil that conceals us from the fresh, natural state of our minds.
