The NAPE is one of Singapore’s annual biggest photography exhibitions, organised by the Ngee Ann Cultural Centre (NACC), a subsidiary of The Ngee Ann Kongsi. Established in 2005, the NAPE aims to showcase the works and talents of our local photographers, and promote the photographic arts in Singapore. The NAPE attracts the participation of many shutterbugs every year, and provides an open platform for photographers of all ages and levels to showcase their works.

This year, the NAPE will be hosted at LASALLE College of the Arts, from 11 to 19 June 2022, 12pm to 7pm daily. Admission is free.

This year’s Exhibition marks the first physical exhibition organised by the NACC since the pandemic emerged in Singapore in 2020, and will feature over 220 photographs by 145 photographers.
The NAPE will feature a wide range of photos depicting street scenery, natural landscape, and portraiture. Recent works from renowned photographers such as Cultural Medallion recipients Mr Foo Tee Jun and Mr Tan Lip Seng will also be displayed in the Exhibition.

A series of 20 photographs, entitled “A New Departure from the Heart” by Mr Goh Koon Peng, this year’s winner of the Ngee Ann Photographer of The Year Award, will be featured in the Exhibition. The Series features some of his works taken from 2006 to 2021, among which 10 are Singapore-based photos and another 10 landscape photos of various countries. The Series shows the different aspects of life and stories of people from all around the world as well as the intertwined connection between human beings and their living environment, evoking visual impact and spiritual reflection.
