In conjunction with World Glaucoma Week 2021 observed from 7 – 13 March 2021, the Singapore National Eye Centre (SNEC) will be organizing a series of educational activities for the public, to raise awareness on glaucoma. The theme this year, ‘The world is bright, save your sight’, hopes to inform the public that with regular eye checks, people can continue to see the world around us in its beauty, charm and adventure.
There will be free eye care webinar talks for the public to learn first-hand from eye doctors from SNEC, Tan Tock Seng Hospital and National University Hospital on topics including glaucoma diagnosis, tests and treatments and new models of care for patients. The webinars will be conducted in English, Mandarin, Malay and Tamil. As the eye care talks are held virtually online, it offers everyone a chance to join in and learn more about the importance of eye care for a better quality of life.
The webinars are jointly organised by Singapore National Eye Centre and the eye departments of government restructured hospitals, supported by The Glaucoma Association of Singapore.
