Through the 3-hour Mask Making Workshop, we want to challenge every participant to explore and to connect deeply with who they truly are at their core. In life, we put on different identities (aka masks) based on our roles, responsibilities, social groups, expectations imposed onto us. So much so that we had lost touch with who we truly are inside of us. Moreover, the fast pace of living in Singapore makes it such that many of us don't have enough time and space to connect with ourselves and simply be who we are - without any external expectations.

Do you still know who you are, what matters, what you stand for, and what you want in life, if you were alone with yourself? We come to this world by ourselves and we will leave this world by ourselves too. If you don't love you, who will? If you don't heal you, who will? If you don't know who you are, who will?

Through creative expression and coaching principles, this workshop will offer a glimpse of the answers and self-awareness to these difficult questions. Spend quality time with yourself as you make art and ponder about life's deeper questions in our Mask Making Workshop!

No previous art experience is necessary to partake in this workshop.

A photographic masked-portrait will be taken at the end of the session and published in a photobook. The masks will be collected, maintained, archived in the custody of ThisConnect.today under the social artist duo collective Hunny & Lummy for the public installation known as "Masks of Singapore".

Workshop Dates from May to August 2021:
- Every Tuesday (7 pm - 9.30 pm)
- Every Sunday (2 pm - 5 pm)

Duration: 3 hours

A total of 500 masks created during the workshops across different communities in Singapore will be exhibited and showcased in a public installation known as "Masks of Singapore" during September 2021 in conjunction with World Suicide Prevention Awareness Month and World Mental Health Month.
