The new CS Fresh store will delight customers with a unique retail concept which offers innovative shopping experiences, bespoke items, the freshest produce available, extensive range of healthy food options, with exciting collaborations with Ryan’s Grocery and Crystal Jade – great partners synonymous with food quality.

At the centre stage of the rebrand is the CS Fresh Gold at Paragon. The new store concept features an all-black, sleek interior unique to the CS Fresh retail identity. Its ambition is to inspire customers with innovative offerings through a selection of a rich range of high-quality food choices including:

- Fresh Sushi and Salad Bar
- Exclusive Ryan’s Grocery dry aged beef and premium meats
- Exclusive Crystal Jade-prepared Roasts and Ready meals
- Premium fresh seafood range including and live oysters and lobsters
- Singapore’s largest organic produce range
- Artisanal cheese shop and charcuterie selections
- Large variety of vegan and plant-based meat brands like Impossible, Beyond, Arlene and Quorn

This rebranding exercise is undertaken following a comprehensive Dairy Farm Singapore (DFS) study which gathered feedback from customers on their shopping experience and preferences in supermarkets. The new slogan Foodies Start with Fresh celebrates Cold Storage’s food-rich heritage, with an emphasis that it is not just a supermarket but a way of our everyday lives.

The launch is part of the Group’s overall transformation journey to enhance customer retail experience with a massive refresh of all its Cold Storage stores by end 2022. The exercise follows a comprehensive DFI Retail Group Singapore study which gathered insights from customers on their preferences and expectations from a fresh food store to meet their needs and engage them in their interests in food.

Along with CS Fresh stores, the Cold Storage stores for the communities will also undergo significant upgrades. The new-look Cold Storage stores boast a signature rustic interior akin to that of a farmer’s market and are built on the familiar ease of getting quality fresh products. Cold Storage will continue to cater to the immediate needs of shoppers in different neighbourhoods while still offering bite-sized experiential shopping experiences. As part of Cold Storage’s ongoing sustainability initiatives, wooden fixtures in the store were recycled from old palettes and repurposed into the store design.

Harvesting over 100 years of heritage, industry know-how and innovation, these fresh concepts involve revamped services, a wider range of both international and local products, sustainable offerings and infrastructure, friendly food specialists and knowledgeable team members. These elements are at the core of the Cold Storage experience and are specially curated to engage customers in an even more compelling way.
