Launched in July 2011, ciNE65 returns for its sixth season as the largest national platform for film students and budding filmmakers to share short films on our Singapore story. Themed ‘Stronger, Together’, ciNE65 2021 calls upon local filmmakers to reflect on our stories and explore how we can overcome difficulties and move forward as one Singapore, united and working together. ciNE65 2021 consists of three commissioned films, a short film competition known as the “ciNE65 Movie Makers Awards” (ciNE65 MMA), film-making workshops and seminars, and a film festival. A good film score not only adds an extra dimension to a film, but it can also emotionally engage the audience with the story and characters. Learn about the fundamentals and techniques of film scoring, and how it can appeal to the auditory senses. Christine Sham, who has established herself as a composer for film and TV, scoring the music for Eric Khoo’s Be With Me and TV commercials.

About Christine Sham
Christine Sham is a film and TV composer, keyboardist, music arranger, producer and educator based in Singapore. A Berklee College of Music degree graduate majoring in Professional Music (performance and arranging). She toured across the globe with some of the biggest Chinese Pop stars including A*mei, Stefanie Sun, F.I.R, Eric Moo, Angela Zhang and David Tao.

Her breakthrough film scoring in 2005, Be With Me by Singapore director Eric Khoo led her to score even more movies from Khoo such as In the Room, Tatsumi, Ramen Teh and more.

Christine won the Top Local Contemporary Instrumental Award by COMPASS in 2016. She has been composing music for TV Commercials for 20 years. She was also the music producer three years in a row for the reality TV show Asia's Got Talent which wrapped in 2018.

Outside of her busy tour life, Christine conducts masterclass workshops, runs a Facebook live music jam project, teaches online, serves in a worship team, and loves a great workout.

In June 2020, she joined Universal Production Music as one of their music composers.

Christine has been a lecturer/educator at the Lasalle College of the Arts and SOMA (School of Music and the Arts) since 2008.
