The Select Centre is a not-for-profit public company limited by guarantee incorporated in Singapore.
It is named after one of Asia's most respected independent bookstores – Select Books – and aims to continue its social mission of promoting understanding of Southeast Asia and putting the region on the global literary and intellectual map.
Firmly rooted in Southeast Asia, our core mission is to advance the interflow of ideas and knowledge between different languages, cultures and disciplines through translation, adaptation and other forms of intercultural practice.
