Website:

Quinten van den Berg was born in Den Helder in 1985. He would later be known as Quintino.

Growing up in a musical family, Quintino was blessed with talent and a broad musical influence. He did not limit himself to exploring only specific music genres, he would listen and learn from many different styles and artists. There was never much of a struggle about what his future occupation would be. He started Deejaying in his fathers club at the age of 15. While completing his schooling Quintino worked as a DJ on weekends and was instantly hooked to the profession.

Over the years Quintino developed impressing Deejaying skills which would not go unnoticed. While playing in a club at the age of 18, he was discovered by house mastermind Laidback Luke. The DJ was so impressed with Quintino’s ability behind the turntables, that he decided to take the young artist under his wing.

After a year of working in sales to pay the bills, Quintino quit his day job to concentrate fully on creating music. With help from his mentor Laidback Luke, Quintino released the very successful tracks “Girls”, “Booker” and “Supersonic”. The releases caught the attention of the party event “Nope is Dope”, and Quintino was asked to be a part of the show. After working for NID for a year, Quintino mixed the first NIP Compilation CD Volume I. The CD was a huge success and reached the Dutch top 5 album charts.

At this point Quintino was working every weekend. But his final career boost occurred after he remixed Cidinho & Doca’s track “Rap Das Armas” in April of 2009. The song started as a bootleg club track but was later released on Spinnin Records. It reached the pole position of the Dutch Charts and was viewed over 8 Mio. times on Youtube. It was not long until Quintino produced yet another smashing single. “Heaven” was released in August 2009, a collaboration with soul singer Mitch Crown. The Track was a ‘Dance Smash’ on Radio 538 and later climbed the Dutch Top 40 Charts. Quintino spent the summer of 2009 touring through Spain, Grand Canary, Italy, Greece, Turkey, Belgium and Germany. He spent 58 days in the summer performing, constantly on the move and firing up the crowd throughout Europe.

Never resting, Quintino has many new projects in line for the future. He is currently working on his new tracks “you know what” and “mystery”, and will soon release a new single. 2009 has been an extremely successful year for Quintino, and his groundbreaking skills and charming smile will ensure that he is also a big name to watch in 2010. - thedjlist.com
