Ming

Inspired and admiring, DJ Ming started out as an avid listener of all kinds of music from very early on. Fascinated by Turntablism from the first moment, he wanted to know how to do it, and to do it well.

Unsurprisingly, it was the skills of the talented DJ Stanley at an underage event in 2000, which stirred Ming into taking up the art of DJing. The sounds from a turntable and scratching took him in and created his persistent urge to learn and to recreate anew. Going back to his early influences in music, it was also DJ mixtapes that inspired him and he too has now been able to produce some of his own. In 2003, Ming produced his debut mixtape along side DJ Bocha titled, The Urban Assault Mixtape, and in 2005 they followed it up with, Da Fresh Cutz Mixtape.

Fast forward from those early years, DJ Ming now not only has the respect of his peers but is also now highly regarded by the people that he once looked up to. Now considered to be one Sydney’s most sought after young gunz, DJ Ming holds residencies at several clubs and continues to land guest spots all over Sydney and interstate.

Having played to crowds of 1000 plus, Ming has the knack for being able to read crowds and know what they want. Known for his abilities to start the dancefloor and keep them moving, he is a DJ who feeds off the crowd. His unique style of spinning RnB and Hip Hop thrown in with some infusions of mashed up House and Electro, has earned him a place in Sydney’s Clubbing Scene. In 2009, DJ Ming continues to build his reputation, as he is currently working on a joint mixtape with his crew, Dirty Dex, and continues to rock clubs all over Australia and Asia.
