Growing up in the greater Los Angeles area, especially during the Golden Era of hip hop greatly influenced and shaped Fran Boogie into the person who he is today. His passion for dancing along with his love of hip hop the music provided him the opportunity to be part of the growing hip hop culture in Los Angeles. At the age of 16, he had his first nightclub experience when he attended Balistyx in Hollywood, the first all age hip hop “dance club” started by Nic Adler, Robert Gavin and the face of the venue, David Faustino – you may know him as ‘Bud Bundy’ from the famous TV sitcom, Married With Children. Attending Balistyx was the catalyst that peaked his curiosity about the night life culture. He started out as a street promoter for Legend Entertainment, an events promotion group based out of Long Beach, CA. They were one of the largest club promoters in the Los Angeles are during the early to mid 90’s. Legend Entertainment was the foundation of his career. There he met DJ Icy Ice, Lucky Lou and as well as being introduced to the rest of World Famous Beat Junkies – Rhettmatic, Symphony, Havik, Tommy Gun, J-Rocc, Curse, What, Melo-D, Mr. Choc, Shortkut, D-Styles and Babu.
