Corrinne May

Corrinne May (born Corrinne Foo May Ying; simplified Chinese: 符美云; traditional Chinese: 符美雲; pinyin: Fú Měiyún on January 19, 1973) is a Singaporean musician, singer and songwriter based in Los Angeles.

She has released five albums to date, her self-titled debut Corrinne May, also released as Fly Away (2001), Safe in a Crazy World (2005), The Gift (2006), Beautiful Seed (2007) and Crooked Lines (2012). Her most successful record "Beautiful Seed", released in 2007, topped the album charts in Singapore and went on to platinum sales in Singapore. Her music leans towards adult contemporary pop and she is known for her heartfelt ballads[3] and her emotive singing voice.

She is widely regarded as one of Singapore's most successful English-language singer-songwriters and she was invited to compose and perform the theme song for Singapore's National Day 2010, titled "Song for Singapore". She performed the song at the National Day Parade on August 9, 2010 in front of some 26,500 spectators at the Padang and more than a million television viewers. - Wikipedia
