The Singapore Hokkien Lam Ann Festival is set to make a triumphant return, offering a more immersive and vibrant experience for all. From an expanded range of delectable Lam Ann dishes to immersive cultural experiences, the festival will showcase the rich heritage and vibrant spirit of the Lam Ann community.
This year’s festival will revisit heritage to showcase the four pillars of Lam Ann culture: the Hong San See temple, Lam Ann Cuisine, Sheng Gong Culture, and the Lam Ann spirit.
Look forward to more than 20 food stalls, peddling a variety of over 40 dishes featuring Lam Ann signatures like Hokkien Hu Tou Vermicelli, Hokkien Dumplings, Hokkien Mee, Honglai Chicken Feet, Chinese Mustard Green Rice, Oyster Omelette and more. Sweet treats are not amiss with traditional bites like Ang Ku Kueh, Sweet Potato Cake and Peanut Soup.
Indulge in the flavours amidst a lively lineup of cultural activities and family workshops suitable for everyone in the whole family. Make your own lanterns, bake adorable miniature piglet mooncakes, solve tricky lantern riddles, sculpt cool clay creations, learn the art of calligraphy and Chinese ink painting, and even dive into the past and present Lam Ann culture with immersive AI and VR experiences.
A celebration of the colourful culture and storied heritage of Nan’An province in Fujian, China, the festival will be strategically held at the Lam Ann Association, right beside the historical Hong San See Temple. Don't miss this chance to visit the Hong San See Temple, a stunning landmark that has been beautifully restored and awarded the UNESCO Asia-Pacific Heritage Award. Pop right over for a visit from the festival and take the chance to explore this national monument!
