Support the HCSA Community Services and ex-offenders as they reintegrate into the society by taking part in Everesting for Second Chances (Everesting) or enjoy family fun at the first-ever HCSA Family Carnival.

Everesting is back with a formidable fundraising target of $500,000 – double the amount of last year’s target – and a mission to garner 300 cycling participants. Registration opens from now and closes 31 July 2024.

Back for the second year, Everesting is organised by HCSA Community Services and supported by Yellow Ribbon Singapore, Singapore Cycling Federation and National Volunteer & Philanthropy Centre. Everesting invites cyclists and athletes to take on the challenge of cycling an elevation gain equivalent to Mount Everest at 8,848m. All it takes is a bike and a Strava account to make a difference!

Join us in this meaningful challenge spanning over two months where every pedal contributes to supporting ex-offenders as they upskill themselves and prepare for reintegration into society.

Everesting for Second Chances Physical Event

On 29 June 2024, HCSA will be hosting an indoor physical Everesting event at HCSA Community Services where participants attempt to complete the challenge within 24 hours.

The event will be graced by Guest-of-Honour, Mr Eric Chua, Senior Parliamentary Secretary for Culture, Community and Youth of Singapore, who will be cycling alongside the participants.

HCSA Family Carnival

Don’t cycle? Don’t worry there is something for everyone! In partnership with Families for Life and in support of the National Family Festival, HCSA’s first-ever family carnival is introduced to the line-up, complementing the indoor physical Everesting event. Family support is crucial and a key motivation for ex-offenders as they reintegrate back to society.

Hosted by Jade Seah and featuring guest speaker Simon Boy, enjoy fun and interactive activities with the family, ranging from stage performances, delicious food, games, bouncy inflatables and unique finds at the flea market. The carnival celebrates the spirit of second chances while championing the invaluable support network for ex-offenders, their families, and participants of the Everesting challenge.

In addition to participating in the cycling challenge and enjoying the festivities of the Family Carnival, HCSA encourages individuals and organisations to generously donate to the 'Everesting for Second Chances' fundraising campaign.
