Join us at Let’s Ride! Singapore, a month-long virtual cycling event running from 14 August to 10 September 2022. Organized by MiRXES, a Singapore-headquartered biotechnology company, whose mission is to save and improve lives through early, actionable, and personalized diagnoses with its innovative RNA-powered cancer early detection solutions, this event is also supported by People’s Association, Community Sports Network, Singapore Cycling Federation, Safe Cycling Task Force and National University Cancer Institute, Singapore (NCIS).

MiRXES would like to encourage Singaporeans to combat potential health problems by gearing up and joining this cycling challenge and to go the distance for your health! With its theme of ‘Go the Distance: Be Healthy, Stay Safe’, Let’s Ride! Singapore aims to get people to take charge of their health with regular physical activity to promote health and wellness, and at the same time, highlight road safety and etiquette. This comes together to showcase Singapore as being healthy, caring and harmonious for us today and for the future.

Opening Ceremony details
Date: 14 August 2022, Sunday
Time: 9.30am to 12.00pm
Venue: Bayfront Event Space (next to Marina Bay Sands)

All public is warmly invited to the opening ceremony which includes the launch of the cycling event, and will also have live talks and stage games, exhibition booths, a best-dressed cyclist competition, lucky draw with SG$3,000 worth of prizes to be won, and free* food and drink trucks from Old Chang Kee, Good Burger, Coffee Bandits, Gatorade and more. Guests will also receive a goodie bag* at the opening ceremony.

There will also be a free health check offered to participants, to be redeemed at partner clinics. The basic wellness package will check for hypertension and diabetes, as well as your cholesterol levels. You will be offered a free life insurance cover from Singlife with AVIVA if you qualify after the checks.

Virtual Race details:
Date: 14 August 2022 – 10 September 2022
Venue: Virtual – anywhere you can ride your bike!

The virtual event will be based on mileage and participants can ride anytime, anywhere, in three different categories – road bikes; foldable bikes; and mountain/hybrid bikes.

To encourage participants to get active by cycling more, simple and easy weekly tasks have been set up for the riders to complete. Different weekly gifts include arm sleeves, socks, a drawstring bag and a finisher medal, and will be given to participants who complete the tasks on time.

There are also two add-on contests which participants are automatically entered into:
- Century Ride Contest – for the more advanced and seasoned riders to challenge themselves to complete the most number of 100km rides within a 4-week period.

- Best Photo Contest – specially designed for our social and recreational riders. Leisure rides with friends and families, visiting interesting places or just a ride in the park, whip out your camera phones and snap the most beautiful scenery or capture those best moments during your rides. Upload the photos to the Gallery Page of our event website for voting. Top 3 most Liked Photos will win a prize.

The registration fee for the main virtual ride is $20 (inclusive of GST) per rider. All participants will be given an event T-shirt upon registration, and are encouraged to link their Strava accounts (Download from www.strava.com/mobile) to track their progress. Prizes for the virtual event include vouchers for a folding bike, cycling kits, and Insta360 Go Cameras, amongst others. All participants of the virtual ride will also be eligible for a lucky draw, with 10 Brompton Bikes and 20 Apple watches to be won.

Closing Ceremony details:
Date: 18 September 2022, Sunday

A charity ride will be organized as part of MiRXES’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) efforts. 300 cyclists will aim to cover over a total of 20,000km to raise funds for NCIS Cancer Fund. More information will be shared closer to date.
