Date: 28 May - 26 June 2022
Timing: 10am – 6pm daily
Location: National Museum of Singapore
Join Professor Alvis and his niece, Bernice, in their journey of discovery to learn more about some of Singapore’s early settlers – a rickshaw puller, amah, rubber tapper, food peddler and dhobi! With a series of onsite and online programmes ranging from interactive installations and theatre experiences to storytelling and craft workshops, young children can learn about values including perseverance, resilience and determination, through the trades, occupations and lives of our early settlers.
Get Curious! Our Early Settlers is developed in collaboration with the Early Childhood Development Agency (ECDA), based on ECDA’s Creative Conversations: Shaping Our Future resource kit, to introduce National Museum’s galleries and collection to children in a fun and accessible manner, through various interactive installations and programmes.
