About Phil Mison
Over the last two decades the DJ, producer and songwriter has become one of the most celebrated names on the Balearic chill-out scene. Phil started his career in the early ‘90s, playing blissfully eclectic sets at London’s Milk Bar. A chance meeting there with the genre’s legendary DJ Jose Padilla led to a two-year residency at Ibiza’s Cafe Del Mar, soundtracking thousands of sunsets with his vast collection of sun-kissed records.

Since the release of his first compilation “Original Chill Out” in 1995, Phil has gone on to release a further 12 compilations (including four volumes of the hugely popular “Real Ibiza” series), recorded with friend Pete Herbert under the Reverso 68 guise, and in 2004, he released his debut artist album under the now-familiar Cantoma moniker. Cantoma’s tracks have appeared on more than 200 compilations as well as various TV shows and movies, including Sex and the City, and as a producer he’s worked with everyone from Grace Jones to Badly Drawn Boy.
