For the first-time ever, IPPUDO and Les Trois Chocolats—two well-loved brands with their origins in Hakata, Japan, are joining hands for an exclusive dining experience over two days. Both founders have collaboratively created a menu specially for diners in Singapore with handcrafted appetisers, a special ‘dashi’ ramen as well as artisanal chocolate desserts.
Les Trois Chocolats is run by Emiko Sano, the third-generation chocolatier of the first artisanal chocolate shop in Hakata, started by her grandfather in 1942. Drawing from her Japanese roots and her rich experiences in France, Les Trois Chocolats offers specially handcrafted chocolate creations which have won the hearts of many.
Start the meal with a glass of welcome Champagne, a traditional Hakata snack—Cheese Senbei—and a series of handcrafted appetisers. Then, enjoy a special 'dashi' IPPUDO ramen which combines two different kinds of ‘dashi’ soup—meticulously prepared using porcini mushrooms, shiitake mushrooms and kelp, as well as two different types of meats: beef and chicken. The medley of ingredients results in a flavourful and smooth broth. Paired with a variety of toppings such as tamago, chicken chashu, Japanese hornwort, menma and leek, the ramen presents a multi-faceted taste experience. Finally, end the meal on a delightfully sweet note, with handcrafted artisanal chocolates from Les Trois Chocolats.
