Factory (Super)Women presents a documentary film and exhibition addressing the stress, struggles and bittersweet memories of the female factory workers in the 70s and 80s. Find out how these women paved the way towards Singapore’s economic success and the crucial role they played in Singapore’s historical narrative.
Taking place from 23 to 24 February, get an overview of Singapore’s industrial history through a film screening, panel discussion and limited guided tours. You can see factories surrounding Jurong Town—where many of the women worked.
Come sew with the women who pioneered Singapore's textile industry and hear about their experiences! Recommended for children and youths. Parents are advised to accompany their young children.
Tickets for all activities are available online. Organised as part of The Future of Our Pasts Festival (TFOOPFest). For more information on the festival, visit our website.
