Lawrence Gray will talk about writing for the screen covering the essential documents that the writer needs to know how to write: the proposal, the treatment, and the script. He will talk about the basic three-act structure and how to map out your story in terms of plot points and dramatic tension. And he will explain what happens to your script in the production process: the breakdown, the budgeting, and the final shooting script.

Lawrence Gray
Lawrence Gray has taught screenwriting for many years in numerous places, ranging from London University to the Singapore Media Academy. He was a founder of the London Screenwriters Workshop and the Hong Kong Writers Circle. He has written series episodes for the BBC, Thames TV, Yorkshire TV, Central, and even Mediacorp. He has directed a number of shorts and documentaries, and in 2012 directed an award winning feature film. He also has won the Proverse Prize for Literature and is presently developing an historical drama series with Australian company, Enjoy Entertainment, and a crime series with Indian company, Trikitainment.

The Tips and Tricks of Making a Short Video, and My Experience as An Indy Producer by Gary Ow Gary Ow will talk the process of producing a short video, how to create a video that will stick in the minds of its viewers and become viral. He will also discuss other aspects such the common mistakes to avoid, and talk about his experience as an independent producer in Singapore.
