We all love Japan, and sometimes we like to have a laugh about it too, and these are brought to you by the top stand-ups active in Tokyo, visiting Singapore for a special weekend. With musical performers, anime voice-artists and sit-com stars in their ranks, it promises to be a unique and hilarious show.

Okomedyaki is a stand-up comedy show dedicated to bringing a true stand-up comedy experience from Tokyo to Singapore…in Japanese. Foreign stand-up comedians doing their sets in Japanese, ensuring the Japanese audience not only have a great time, but an insight into stand-up comedy culture. Such has been the success of this new brand of entertainment in Japan, it has spawned hit musical singles and TV success!

BJ Fox
BJ Fox is a British stand-up comedian, based in Tokyo - when not making people laugh on stage, he's writing and starring in NHK’s first ever English comedy drama “Home Sweet Tokyo”. He has performed in the UK, Singapore and across Asia and in Tokyo, he performs in both English and Japanese, as a key member of Stand-Up Tokyo. As an MC, he has hosted shows for Hannibal Buress, Eric Andre, Steve Hofstetter, Stuart Goldsmith, Lou Sanders, Steve Bugeja and Yuriko Kotani, amongst many others.

Ruben VM
Ruben VM is a singer-songwriter from Holland, based in Japan where he is forging his own path as Japan’s top comedy-song writer, in English & Japanese. With 6 hit singles under his belt including the powerful “Stereotype Gaijin (Ang Moh)” and the controversially unsolicited and unofficial theme song to the Tokyo 2020 Olympics, he is one to watch in the future.

Vinay Murthy
Vinay Murthy is one of Tokyo's most established stand-up comedians, entertaining Tokyo crowds for many years in both English and Japanese. When not on-stage, you can hear Vinay as the voice of Mr Sandal in the hit anime, Sakura Quest.
