We all know how much Singaporeans love Thailand, the Land of Smiles. In celebration of the upcoming Songkran Festival in April, Tampines 1 is bringing the Thai water festival to Singapore! From 28 March to 3 April 2018, shoppers can experience authentic Thai culture in the heartlands at Tampines 1 through the week-long Songkran-themed event delighting both young and the young at heart.

The event features water game booths and even a water laser tag game for children on the rooftop, and 40 local and Thai vendors will be setting up shops at the mall offering a spread of food, fun and fashion. There will also be photo-taking opportunities available, including a Tuk Tuk pop up in Level 1 and a Wall of Smiles photobooth on the rooftop for shoppers to take Instagram-worthy shots! When night falls, the rooftop's open skies will be transformed into a canvas of lights.

Shoppers can also expect performances each night by Thai singer Derek Ruj, lucky draw giveaways, cultural performances as well as traditional Thai handicraft sessions like leaf folding, egg painting, jewellery making and Thai umbrella painting.

Some of the exciting vendors and activities that shoppers can look forward to are:

- Maligood - One of the largest silk manufacturers in Thailand having designed outfits for some of the biggest Thai celebrities and international models, including Miss Thailand 2016
- Bluesky Enterprise - A retailer that refashions sports equipment into award winning designer bags
- Tai Tam Nak - A Thai fabric manufacturer which creates scarves and dress through the ancient art of indigo dying, which is said to be able to help with fever symptoms and inflammation from insect bites
- 13rushes - A 100%-cruelty free Singaporean make up brand
- F.East - A brand that manufactures unique flavours of chips from Hainanese Chicken Rice to Laksa, to suit the Singaporean taste buds.
- Photo Opportunities - Get your camera ready to take some photos against a "Wall of Smiles"
- Lucky draw - Stand a chance to win attractive lucky draw prizes including a pair of return tickets to Ko Samui and Bangkok sponsored by Bangkok Airways and Thai Airways.
- Beer & Popcorn - Evening alfresco beer garden hosted by Chang Beer

The event is made possible with the support of Young Entrepreneurs Association Singapore, Office of Commercial Affairs in Thai Embassy and the Tourism Authority of Thailand.
