- Inter-school Recycling Competition
Leading up to Earth Day on 22 April, AMK Hub is partnering 3 Primary Schools in Ang Mo Kio’s neighourhood to present an inter-school recycling competition. Over 60 students between Primary 3 to 6 from Andersen Primary, Mayflower Primary and Teck Ghee Primary will take on the challenge to create art pieces or functional objects using recycled materials. 10 of the schools’ best upcycling creations will be shortlisted and will then be displayed at AMK Hub, Level 4 for public viewing and voting!

- Mini Carnival Extravaganza
This March school holidays, celebrate the term break with a mini carnival adventure! Together with local theme park ride operator, Uncle Ringo, AMK Hub invites you to have a whale of a time on the popular carnival rides such as Ferris Wheel, Viking Ship, Racing Bikes and Mini Swings. Tickets are available at $5 per ride. Located at Level 1 Main Entrance, the rides are suitable for children aged 3 years old and above. Opening hours: Monday to Friday from 5pm to 10pm and from 1pm to 10pm on Saturday and Sunday.

- Donation Drive with The Salvation Army
One man’s trash is another man’s treasure—if you have any pre-loved items that you don’t want to discard, but are running out of storage space to keep them, you can donate the items to The Salvation Army over 2 weekends at the donation drive. The first 250 shoppers who donates at least 3kg of items, can redeem a $5 AMK Hub fashion voucher1 and shopping vouchers worth over $800! Limited to 1 redemption per shopper per day. The event is held at Level 4 from 2pm to 6pm.

- 'Catopia' Adoption Fiesta by Cat Welfare Society
If you are a cat lover looking to give an adorable feline a new home, check out ‘Catopia’, a cat adoption fiesta hosted by the Cat Welfare Society (CWS)! At ‘Catopia’, you will be greeted by a litter of over 20 playful-looking cats of various breeds. Volunteers and cat trainers would also be present to answer your queries on adopting a tabby. Regardless of the pet that you raise, remember to always be a responsible owner and care for the well-being of your little furry friend.

In addition, there will also be activity booths such as personalised engraving of pets’ tags, art and craft corner for children to create origami and face masks, as well as exhibition panels to educate the public on cat abuse prevention, how to care for strays and more. Pet owners can also get their hands on the best deals for pets’ accessories. The adoption drive will be held at Level 1 Main Entrance, from 11am to 6.30pm.

- Earth Hour (24 Mar 2018)
Earth Hour is a yearly initiative where hundreds of millions across the globe come together to call on the need for climate change. This year, the Earth Hour falls on Saturday, 24 March, between 8.30pm and 9.30pm. As a mark of Earth Hour, AMK Hub will be switching off the façade and garden lights to conserve energy and reduce carbon footprint. You can also show you support to Mother Earth by switching off non-essential lights during the hour.
