The Singapore International Foundation presents the finale event of the Young Social Entrepreneurs 2017 - Pitching For Change. Following eight months of journeying and mentorship, the teams will pitch to receive up to S$20,000 each to launch or scale up their social enterprises.

The event will bring together 16 teams made up of 37 young social entrepreneurs, representing eight countries and territories—Australia, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand and the USA. These changemakers will present their innovative and sustainable business ideas to create a better world in the areas of energy and environment, education, agriculture and digital technology.

More often than not, beneficiaries are left out of the conversations around solutions to social problems. In addition to the business pitch presentations from the 16 teams of finalists, the discussion session “Changing the Conversation” aims to tackle the issue of involving marginalised groups as key partners. Open for discussion with members of the public, the session aims to identify ways to co-create a more inclusive society and empower beneficiaries to create effective change for themselves and society at large.

The event is open to members of the public and admission is free.
