State of Motion (SOM) 2017: Through Stranger Eyes, organised by the Asian Film Archive (AFA), is a highlight of the Singapore Art Week 2017. From 6 January-5 February, 5 selected films will be screened at the Plaza Atrium of the National Library Building as we delve into the history of local cinema to explore its film locations and the national’s mutability through the eyes of foreigners.
Guided Film History and Art Tours – Locations and Bus Schedule:
Within a duration of 3 hours, participants will be presented a compilation of film clips and be guided around Singapore, starting from the Pavilion at the National Library Building to five film locations (A-F).
Participants can experience the site-specific artworks by Hilmi Johandi, Randy Chan, Godwin Koay, Joo Choon Lin, Ujikaji, The Observatory, Jeremy Sharma and Amanda Lee Koe.
Tours run from mid to end January and are for participants 18 years and above only.
