Ascott brings curated series of talks ‘In Bed With’ to lyf@smu.

In line with lyf’s coliving concept of connecting guests with fellow change-makers, The Ascott Limited (Ascott)’s lyf team is kickstarting a curated series of talks named ‘In Bed With’ whereby industry experts and individuals with varied backgrounds will share their experiences, stories and ideas with the community.

The talks will be held at lyf@SMU, the serviced residence industry’s first-of-its-kind living lab in Singapore, which test out various coliving concepts, under Ascott’s partnership with the Singapore Management University (SMU). This initiative is also an opportunity to highlight the endless possibilities—acquiring new knowledge, friends, skills—one can have when staying at lyf.

The first installation of the talk series, “Changing Faces”, will see photographers and videographers of different interests coming together to discuss the evolution of Singapore and its ever-changing landscape. The reputable speakers include:

- Darren Soh, a renowned architectural photographer (@darrensohphotographer)
- Lim Wei Xiang, a local sports and landscape photographer (@weixianglimphoto)
- Jeremy Ho, a budding film-maker whose works have received recognition by industry players and
- Nazish, a sociologist, who was commissioned to produce a book documenting the shopkeepers of Singapore in conjunction with SG50.

Touching on themes close to their hearts such as architecture, coastline, people, and neighbourhood, they will be sharing their experiences, stories and ideas while drawing parallels from each other.
