Super Inframan (1975, Hong Kong)
PG/Colour/Mandarin/English subtitles/95 min

Director: Hua Shan
Cast: Danny Lee, Wong Hap, Yuen Man Tzu, Terry Liu, Bruce Le

After 10 million years of slumber, the demon Princess Elzebub awakens and plots to conquer Earth. She summons her army of skeleton ghosts and mutant humanoids to wreak havoc. Lei Ma, a high-ranking Science Headquarters Officer who has been bestowed powers to transform into the solar-powered superhero Inframan, is mankind's only hope.

Filmed in Tokusatsu-style, Super Inframan is a psychedelic fusion of martial arts, Japanese giant monsters and pseudo-science fiction. This Shaw Brothers’ gem is the very first Chinese superhero action film and arguably Hong Kong’s answer to Ultraman.
