In conjunction with the 13th Asia Pacific Congress of Hypertension (APCH) 2017, the Singapore Heart Foundation (SHF) has organised the ‘Down with High Blood Pressure Public Forum 2017’ to raise awareness on hypertension and how to prevent it.

Known as the silent killer, high blood pressure (hypertension) is a major risk factor for cardiovascular disease (CVD) and it is a common problem in Singapore, affecting 1 in 4 adults aged 30 to 49 years old.I Individuals with this condition may not exhibit any symptoms even when their condition is severe. In some cases, hypertension is only discovered when complications such as a stroke or heart attack strikes.

At the forum, participants will hear from expert speakers on how to identify and deal with this silent killer. Topic and speakers are as follows:
