Organised by Project Happy Feet (PHF), a Singapore-based not-for-profit organization, the third edition of Chefs For A Cause brings together 12 notable local chefs to serve up 23 of their signature dishes at a one-day public food event. The event aims to raise S$70,000 in support of the SPED Financial Assistance Scheme (FAS), a programme supported by Community Chest.

Led by Chef Jimmy Chok, participating chefs include returning chefs Yen Koh (Unilever South East Asia), Robin Ho (Prive Group), Pang Kok Keong (Sugar Daddy Group), Christopher Tan (Foodfella), Forest Leong (Forest Cooking School), Anderson Ho (Snorre Food), Daniel Tay (Foodgnostic and Old Seng Choong) and Daniel Sia (Lo & Behold Group), as well as newcomers Ho Chan Fei (Novotel & Mercure Singapore on Stevens), Phillip Lee (Indoguna) and Louis Tay (Swissotel Merchant Court).

This year’s event menu promises a wide range of 23 delectable sweet and irresistible savoury dishes that are sure to wow the crowd! From Asian-inspired Assam Pedas Meatball Sliders to fusion dishes such as the Chinese Duck, Kimchi and Beansprout Taco to irresistible desserts such as the Jasmine Tea Mousse, Mango Caviar, Snow Fungus, Osmanthus Gel., Walnut Sesame Nougatine.

Introduced in 2011, the SPED Financial Assistance Scheme (FAS) aims to provide a basic level of financial assistance to Singaporean children with special needs from low-income families in order to allow them to receive proper education at SPED schools. The scheme provides 100% subsidy of the school fees (up to the subsidy cap) as well as free textbooks and school attire for the student beneficiaries.

A total of 250 admission tickets for Chefs For A Cause 2017 will go on sale from 03 November 2017 to 10 December 2017 and will be available for purchase through Project Happy Feet as well as the event’s official website.

- 50 pairs of VIP tickets, priced at S$300 each, will allow ticket holders to enjoy 23 portions of food from the participating chefs. VIP ticket holders will be allowed early entry to the event venue at 1:30pm.
- Foodie ticket at S$50 each, which will admit one and allow for two portions of food
- Additional coupons will be sold at the event in booklets of S$50 for purchasing of food and beverages.

An auction to bid for a private dinner for 20 pax by a select group of chefs will be held at the event with the bid starting at S$30,000.
