Are you interested to discover more about the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) by listening to interactive stories? This year, ASEAN celebrates 50 years of being one united community focused on economic integration and growth and consensus-building.

In light of this and in collaboration with Read! Fest 2017, National Library Board (NLB) will be organising the Big Read Meet ASEAN Special to showcase ASEAN’s rich culture and diversity. A special segment on ASEAN will also be incorporated into the Big Read Meet programme held during Read! Fest 2017. This segment will feature Ms Hoang Thi Ha, a lead researcher from the Institute of Southeast Asian Studies who will provide participants with an in-depth overview of ASEAN. Professor Wang Gungwu, a pre-eminent expert on Southeast Asia has also been invited to join in this special programme.
