|Fri Feb 5 2016, 8:00pm–2:00am|
On Friday 5 February 2016, the Hyphenics collective will fire up the dance floor to welcome the Year of the Monkey at Cato Singapore. After three years of championing soulful electronic sounds in Shanghai, Brotha From Another Mutha brings the party home with two of Singapore’s leading DJs.
Gerald Ang and Rob Young will lay down an extended back-to-back set of house and future boogie for their first BFAM show in Singapore. Gerald has been busy releasing his own productions while developing the new imprint Soul Matters Recordings, and was recently featured on Pulse Radio as one of Asia’s top 10 upcoming electronic music producers.
Rob Young (aka Robin) has also been very active as the founder of the Transmission techno movement in Shanghai, and this will be his first set in Singapore since holding a club residency here in 2003.
Support on the night will come from New Zealand’s eclectic selector Arctic Penguin and his bag of jazzy hip-hop. So come down, kick back and welcome the Lunar New Year in style at Cato’s beautiful Chinatown loft!
