We all want to look beautiful...We all care about our family's health and our environment...It is now possible to combine the two!
United World College Dover has put together a programme for an exciting evening of Sustainable Fashion (on Thursday 17th November, 7-9:30pm). The individuals and companies hosting the evening reflect the values of our school; they are pioneers in a heavily polluting industry and have been courageous enough to say 'We are going to do things differently'.
This evening will be a great way to find out more and to enjoy seeing how we can shop differently in the future. The evening will kick off with a short movie, followed by a talk by London based designer Bernice Pan (from Deploy Demi-Couture) and Agy and Raye from the Singaporean based company Connected Threads Asia, this will be followed by Q&A.
Following a break to enjoy canapes and a drink (from the pay bar) and a chance to bid in the silent auction of donated clothes from our fashion houses, there will be a fashion show brought to you by our High Schoolers. All the brands are from sustainable fashion houses: Zhai, Etrican, Matter and Touch The Toes Yoga wear as well as the globally renowned Deploy demi-couture.
All profit (after costs) will go to Child Workers In Nepal (CWIN).
