This international conference is jointly organised by the Singapore Academy of Law, Singapore Management University (School of Law) and Bond University (Faculty of Law). The conference will examine the role of tort law in protecting business and economic interests, with particular focus on nominate torts (such as the “economic torts”, defamation, breach of confidence, and statutory torts), and how these may intersect with claims in negligence.
Participants will have access to papers on intentional and economic torts, accessory and vicarious liability, defamation and privacy, defences and remedies, negligence and issues arising from the intersection of tort law with other subject areas (such as contracts, intellectual property and public law).
