Launched in 2014, the MTL Reading Festival targets readers of all age groups to read more MTL books and to promote NLB’s MTL collections. This year, the festival’s theme is “Retracing our Roots”.
The acting drama workshop will be covering 5 aspects of acting, namely aerobics, laban, voice modulation, stage craft and make-up. Before an individual can act on stage, there are various skills and techniques that he/she should grasp. These skills and techniques are important for an actor as they aid him/her to perform his/her best on stage. The target audience for the workshop is primary and secondary school students so as to garner their interest from young for Tamil language and Tamil theatre.
Admission to all programmes is free. However, registration is required. Registration can be completed at library eKiosks, or on www.nlb.gov.sg/golibrary (search for related programmes using the term [MTL Read Fest’16]).
