Embark on an in-depth perspective on appreciating art for families as we head into Mizuma Gallery to uncover the issues running through The Great Exhibition, a solo exhibition by internationally-renowned collaborative artists Ken and Julia Yonetani.
The Studio Press will be facilitating a sketching session in Mizuma gallery followed by an introduction to the medium of ink and brush painting. Parent and child will be guided on various techniques of ink application and tonal values. Alongside this hands-on workshop, The Studio Press will also inform on how Ken and Julia Yonetani have blended unconventional materials, aesthetics and humour to express their concerns on the pressing issues of our times. Find out more about the creative processes undertaken by Ken and Julia Yonetani, and how they have evolved in their collaborative career through a survey of their works.
Art Explorers is an initiative by Art Outreach to encourage families to tap on their experiences at Gillman Barracks as inspiration for parent-and-child art activities.
