by Dr Kang Ger-Wen.

According to the Chinese zodiac, 2015 is the Year of the Goat, one of great blessings. A gentle herbivore, the goat not only symbolises goodness but also reflects the Chinese culture of respect and courtesy that we should show towards each other. How then are these meanings encapsulated in the Chinese character of goat (羊) and its related characters and expressions? What does it symbolise?

Join Dr Kang Ger-Wen, Course Chair, Chinese Studies, School of Humanities & Social Sciences of NgeeAnn Polytechnic in this talk as he reveals the underlying significance and iconography of the character, and will be an enlightening start to a blessed year!
