As part of Singapore Science Festival 2015, the STAR Lecture titled “Sparks Will Fly: How to Hack Your Home” will be presented by Professor Danielle George, University of Manchester (Associate Dean for Teaching and Learning in the Faculty of Engineering and Physical Sciences, and Professor in the Microwave and Communications Systems Research Group). An electrical and electronics engineer by training, Prof George will take three great inventions - a light bulb, a telephone and a motor - and show how to adapt them and transform them to do extraordinary things. Ticket charges apply.

$10 for members of public, tickets can be purchased at www.sciencefest.sg from June 2015; free for registered school groups
