Always wanted to know what goes into a short film or feature-length ones? Royston Tan will be guiding you through the steps to making such films in his workshop, letting you know the difference between the two films from script development, character growth and more.

Aside from that, Royston will be giving you some insight on his upcoming feature film, "3688". "3688" tells the story of a parking attendant named Fei Fei who dreams of becoming a singer like her famous namesake, the legendary Taiwanese singer Fong Fei Fei. However, she has to give up her dream to support her father, who has dementia. Even after she follows that dream to join a singing contest, her father disappears during her finals, leaving her torn apart as to what to do.

An award-winning filmmaker in Singapore, Royston Tan has created many films that portray the poor, disadvantaged and the misunderstood of Singapore society. Royston first made his breakthrough film, "Sons", with his savings of just $3,000. He has directed other successful numerically-titled films such as “15”, “4:30” and “881”. His films have travelled far and wide, and have gone on to win awards at the Singapore International Film Festival, Tokyo Film Festival, and have even been selected to represent Singapore at the Oscar's for the Best Foreign Language Film Category.
