Republic Polytechnic’s Indian Cultural Group (RPICG) is back with the sixth edition of its annual production, Nakshatra. Themed ‘Yaatra’, which is Sanskrit for pilgrimage, this year’s play tells a story of two souls as they traverse life.

The protagonists, Sethu and Meenamma, are two individuals as different as night and day. Sethu is an overpowering and arrogant business magnate whose life revolves around himself. Meenamma is a selfless, homely, meek young lady who grew up under the care of her father and brother.

This student-led effort sees 30 students from the RPICG manage a whole host of roles from scripting and set designing to directing, stage managing and acting. Due to overwhelming response, a second matinee show was announced.
