Teater Ekamatra presents its 3rd installation of Projek Suitcase, together with 21 established artists from the industry. Eight, 20-minute plays, based on the theme, Excavation, will be showing on the grounds of the Malay Heritage Centre. Equipped with only their suitcases, the storytellers will spin their tales and dare us to follow them on their journeys, excavating forgotten pasts and alternative histories.
Doors will open at 7.30pm. Audience members are encouraged to get a bite from festival vendors who will provide sweet and savory finger-food on site. While they explore the vicinity, it is important that they acquaint themselves with the information in the programme brochures before the show begins.
At 8.10pm, two plays will begin playing simultaneously at two different spaces in the Malay Heritage Centre. Audience members will have to decide between the two plays and proceed to the venue. After the play ends, there will be a 10 minute intermission before the next two pieces begin.
Projek Suitcase will be presented in Malay. Booklets with English surtitles will be provided.
