Tian Fu Tea Room's (天府茶艺馆) 10th anniversary celebration begins with an exhibition on ‘Four Treasures of Study’ (文房雅趣) from 10 to 18 January 2015.

Discover the humble beginnings of letter writing instruments – Paper (纸), Ink (墨), Brush (毛笔) and Inkstone (砚) in the early lives of Chinese civilisation as you journey through the development of the key learning tools of Chinese culture. Explore the transcendental relationship between the ancient Chinese and the four treasures they deeply respect and grew in awe of, and learn how these basic literature elements evolved into numerous coveted personalised and artistic creations spanning thousands of years in Chinese history.

‘Four Treasures of Study’ exhibition is the third collaboration between Tian Fu Tea Room and Dragon Seeds Art Gallery (香港龙语艺术中心) from Hong Kong, following the successful Traditional Chinese Carvings and Snuff Bottles exhibitions in 2014.

Date : 10 to 18 January 2015
Time : 11am to 7pm
Venue : Tian Fu Tea Room, PARKROYAL on Beach Road
