Celebrate Singapore's 50th birthday with Kris Foundation at The Journey Back Home. The evening is a tribute to the nation by five young Singaporean musicians, featuring a commissioned new work by local composer Phang Kok Jun for SG50, and a selection of pieces by Samuel Barber, Tan Dun and Antonín Dvořák. These pieces draw inspiration from folk music and cultural pride by delving into the musicians' complex relationship with home, and explore what it means to belong.

The concert offers a great opportunity for music lovers to consider the identity and future of classical music in Singapore. It also brings the audience on a timely journey through the untold emotions of longing, joy and pride that swathe us when we contemplate home.
