Homespun Stories – Singapore in Film by Kenny Tan

Stories of home and life in Singapore have been explored in film throughout the years. The identity, culture and lifestyle of Singaporeans depicted in films are often a reflection of the life and times of living in Singapore. Find out how different local filmmakers have portrayed Singapore in their films and be inspired to make your own short film!

Speakers’ Profile

Kenny Tan was the winner of the ciNE65 Open Category in 2013 with his short film Priceless. Kenny Tan was also part of the Multimedia Creative Team behind Singapore’s National Day Parade 2004 and 2005, and has worked as a freelance TV director. His films, which have been showcased at local and overseas film festivals have received numerous accolades.

This workshop is organized by ciNE65 to help budding film-makers develop their potential in film-making. Registration is open to all on a first-come, first-served basis.
