Home Nursing Foundation (HNF) is organising an exhibition titled ’38 Years of Home Nursing in Singapore’, joining in the celebration of 50 years of Singapore’s independence. Together with the Singapore Memory Project of the National Library Board, we aim
1. to inform the general public on the history and development of home nursing;
2. to raise awareness of home nursing services and social support services and
3. to sound a recruitment call to encourage young men and women to join the nursing profession, especially in community nursing.
The exhibition launched at the Central Public Library on 5 March 2015 and will travel to Bukit Merah Public Library, Woodlands Regional Library and Marine Parade Public Library. The whole exhibition lasts from 5 March to 28 June 2015. To complement the exhibition proper, a series of healthcare related talks and activities will be held on weekends at each library. These talks are presented by healthcare professionals from various organisations including restructured hospitals and community outreach organisations.
