Join us for a night of popular L'AMOUR (Love) classic. Behind the famous story of William Tell, a skilled huntsman, who splits the apple placed on the head of his son, is a love story of rebel’s leader, Ulrich, who fell in love with a peasant’s daughter, Bertha, captured and work in the court of the tyrant Governor, Gessler. Eventually, the arrow of Tell finds Gessler. Bertha was released to join Ulrich and the freedom to the oppressed peasants in the Swiss Alps. George Bizet's Carmen tells the story of the downfall of Don José, a naïve soldier who is seduced by the wiles of the fiery Gypsy, Carmen. José abandons his childhood sweetheart and deserts from his military duties, yet loses Carmen's love to the glamorous toreador Escamillo, after which José kills her in a jealous rage. Catch the soloists couple Jeremy Chiew (viola) and Nanako Takata (violin) depicting The Mozart Sinfonia Concertante.
