Dharma Ashoka is a stage production that brings to life the metamorphic journey & spiritual uplift of the mighty Mauryan Emperor Ashoka who upon witnessing the suffering brought about by his greed and desire for conquest, sought inspiration from teachings of the Buddha, relinquishing violence and instead adopting peaceful models of rule.

As we celebrate the city-state's milestone birthday, we reflect and revisit the ideas conceived by our very own Leaders, whose vision uprooted Singapore from conflict & confrontation, propelling her to become an exemplary city state through co-operation & reconciliation, achieving the ideals of Peace & of One-People.

The production will be held at TRCC Theatre (Republic Polytechnic) on 27, 28 and 29 August 2015. Admission is by invitations which are available at TFA.

Also provided below, is a brief introduction about TFA.

About TFA
The Temple of Fine Arts is a non-profit cultural organisation that has been active in the promotion of Fine Arts in Singapore, since 1982. Our founder, His Holiness Shantanand Saraswati, believed in the power and magic of the arts to chisel out fine human beings. He built this institution so that it could serve as a sanctuary for anyone who wanted to pursue an art-form with love and passion, and in the process become better people. Thus was born the motto of TFA, "Art, just for the love of it".
