Marlene celebrates her promotion with a surreal dinner party, whose guests include a motley crew of real and fictional women from centuries past who celebrate the virtues and bemoan the sacrifices required of being “top girls” in a man’s world. All of the women in her life - co-workers, relatives, clients - grapple with their ambitions and clash with each other. When Angie, Marlene’s young relative, shows up unannounced at her workplace, Marlene is forced to examine what the next generation of women will gain (or lose) from her rush to the top.

Professor Steve Dixon, LASALLE President and renowned actor/director, directs LASALLE’s Acting students in this play by influential English playwright Caryl Churchill, which has played to audiences in the West End and Broadway.
