Project Happy Feet’s signature fundraiser, The Project Happy Feet Slipper Race, is Singapore’s only non-competitive walk in slippers that is inspired by the many school children in rural places who walk more than 3km to school, sometimes barefooted even. The race supports the education of underprivileged children in Singapore and beyond by donating 100% of all the earnings to beneficiaries.

Through the simple act of walking in a similar distance in slippers, the race hopes for people to put themselves in the shoes (or slippers!) of these underprivileged children and do their part to contribute towards them having a chance at education.

Now in its fourth year, the “Total Defence edition” of the Slipper Race celebrates the spirit of Total Defence with Singaporeans coming together to fight poverty through supporting education, the same way Singaporeans played a part in overcoming challenges to make Singapore strong, safe and secure over the last 30 years.

Organised by: Project Happy Feet (in conjunction with Total Defence 2014)

Price: $35 (100% goes to beneficiaries)
